12' x 18' Mesh Floor Sanding Screens are cut and designed for orbital floor sanders. These 12-Inch x 18-Inch screens are available in grits ranging from 60 to 150. The grit or grain on screens is not as aggressive as typical 'sandpaper' as the particles on screens are embedded in a mesh screen and result in fewer grain particles per square inch. These screens are used to scuff, abrade, and dull finishes such as polyurethane and will remove bubbles and imperfections in between coats on floors. They must be used with a thick floor pad of the same size, preferably a white pad, and the pad and screen are held under the machine by the weight of the sander. This size screen will generally fit the following orbital sanders: Alto - Clarke - American Sanders OBS 18 / OBS18 and OBS 18DC / OBS18DC Random Orbital Sander, Essex Silverline - Silver Line SL-1218R / SL1218R and Silverline SL-1218OVS / SL1218OVS Random Orbital Sander. They will also fit the Squar Buff 600B Random Orbital Sander. Please check your current pad driver size or consult your floor buffer's owner's manual to ensure correct ordering. Partial boxes are NOT returnable.
